My name is Ashley Mcintosh. I believe that our surroundings can deeply influence who we are. It is my conviction that poetry serves as a powerful tool to frame our sense of place and reconnect us with our hearts. My journey has been devoted to empowering disinvested communities, aiding them in reshaping their narratives about themselves and their environments. This journey began in Flint, Michigan, where I merged elements of poetry/storytelling and mindfulness practices to envision our sense of belonging.
